You make valid arguments, but over look one essential point. There is an underlying reason for the state of disarray of the left. Organizing costs money! The two parties have the billionaires, while the progressive left has no wealthy backers. We are a collection of individuals volunteering in our spare time to better the greater society. A Green win of 5% of the votes will give us a fighting chance the next time around, and will enable the rallying and organizing that is necessary to actually change policy. It is important to also make those leaders who are actually practicing genocide lose. Accountability is the real test of a democracy.
