You bring up excellent points regarding the First Intifada. MLK understood that nonviolent resistance required a caring and empathetic audience, and an honest media that will show them the truth. When it comes to Palestine, all we have is a twisted media and brainwashed audiences in America and Israel. When one side is genocidal, nonviolent resistance is suicide.
