The running joke now is that no one would turn in the CEO assassin to the "authorities". For one thing, their reward payment will likely be denied :P
But seriously, I do not rejoice at someone being murdered, and I can resist the thoughts of seeing other deserving public figures get so treated. At the same time, the authorities have no moral standing to demand our cooperation. While they fund and arm a genocide of children in Gaza, and murder black and brown citizens on the subway, we cannot be assured the suspected assassin will get a fair trial. Cooperation in this case is doing violence.
