Thank you, Gail, for the endorsement for my book, too.
What’s powerful about Rabie’s book is that it vividly details the ultimate triumph of life afterwards, even in the refugee camp. Such stories can be a source of strength as Palestinians face the monumental task of rebuilding.
Unfortunately, I am not so sure about the English translation being out “soon”. I lost connection with the author when I got booted off LinkedIn 7 months ago, and now that I’m back, his latest post is from 7 months ago. I am not sure the publishers he reached last year understood the urgency of publishing the work of an 85-year-old Nakba survivor.
