Thank you Aziyzullah for appreciating this series and adding your voice. 1930s British writers extolled the “modernity” they brought to Palestine and the rest of the world. Like you, I often wonder if the East would have been better off left alone. Regardless, we cannot change the past, but we do have a chance to remake the East of tomorrow to be better than its own past and the best of the West’s put together.
