Israel’s SKY TERRORISM continues. The din of airplanes has not stopped since early last night. It is now afternoon and all I hear are airplanes high up that I cannot see. A bomb could fall at any minute — on Gaza, or here, or anywhere the cowardly Israeli pilots are ordered to drop. Sirens break out here and there. Heard a round of gunfire about midnight last night coming from the south end of Ramallah. A little later the news came of the murder of three Palestinians at the Qalandia checkpoint, barring us from entering the city of my birth — Jerusalem.
Another sleepless night of American-made Israeli terror. Bush’s air war doctrine — tested on Iraq — of flattening everything in the country before committing ground troops, is now tested on Gaza. In the span it took me to type one paragraph, another sortie could be heard above. Cowardice abounds.
Western governments and media rushed to display Israeli flags, betraying their own citizens, journalistic neutrality, justice, and human rights. It’s all about money. Another war, and another year of record profits for the American weapons industries, which in turn pay the networks handsomely with ads, and send the ex-generals to spew the same tired talking points. “Israel” is “under attack” from “Hamas terrorists”. The same tired formulas while Palestinian children shudder in terror, spending the night on streets filled with the rubble of bombed-out homes.
Another round overhead. Company executives greedily rubbing their hands with dollar signs in their eyes at every bomb dropped. Millions more to be made. Just in time to compensate them for the loss of appetite for more murder in Ukraine. Bank accounts burst while innocents die.
I dream of shooting those airplanes down, but all I have are the stones of the land, and this voice online. Please forward and copy. Don’t let them shut me down. Because they will, it’s only a matter of time before they cut off electricity and internet here too. Until then I will write and post nonstop, for you to share.
