Interesting insight. The Dems' failure to listen to voters in choosing the president is a symptom of their failure to listen to them at every level. Ignoring the uncommitted vote in the latest round of primaries was a disaster. Instead of trying to win back their voters by stopping genocide, they courted hated neocon personalities from the other party. That was beyond deafness - that was outright spiteful.
