Happy Birthday, Lina. I couldn't help but notice that all the words you mention that are used to describe older women - hag, crone, etc - refer to unmarried women. Their married sisters were matrons and ladies and whatnot. Even "widow", evocative of pity as the term may feel, is not as negative as the ones you mention.
