Ramsey Hanhan is a Palestinian American writer and author of Fugitive Dreams, a literary exploration of the Palestinian experience through five decades of personal stories. He was formerly a physics professor noted for his computer models that describe and predict complexity in nature. His short stories and poetry have appeared in Fikra Magazine and elsewhere. He also speaks publicly about Palestine.

Ramsey writes to transcend culture, speak for the voiceless, and uncover the beauty of the ordinary. You can find him on a jogging trail, deep in the forest, at an airport, or in a coffee shop. Hanhan holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and resides near Baltimore, Maryland.

I yearn to write about literature, mindfulness, love, nature, or travel, but in the midst of a genocide, I only have words about Palestine.

--- Fugitive Dreams: Chronicles of Occupation and Resistance is a literary exploration of the Palestinian experience through five decades of personal stories. Born in Palestine β€˜on the β€œwrong” side of the border,’ Sameer finds his way to America to rebuild his life. His immigrant experience in post-9/11 America is laced to the ongoing conflict at home with the common threads of school shootings, police violence, human rights abuses, activism, and walls. For the sake of his daughter, he decides he must do something.
